Saving links from other apps
Linked appears in Android's share sheet. In your browser, WhatsApp, YouTube or any other app, tap Share and choose Linked.
If Linked isn't in the list, scroll sideways through the app icons, or tap More. Android shows apps you use most first, so Linked moves up the list once you've used it a few times.
A link saved without a title or picture
Linked asks a preview service for the title and picture of the page. It can come back empty when the site blocks previews, when the page needs a login, or when your connection dropped while saving.
You can rename the link yourself: open the card menu, choose Edit, and type a title. Your own title is kept.
Back up and move to a new phone
- Open the Security tab and tap Export JSON.
- Find the file in the Files app, under Internal storage, in Documents or Download.
- Copy it to your new phone, for example through Google Drive, email to yourself or a cable.
- Install Linked, open Security and tap Import JSON.
Before you uninstall: uninstalling erases every saved link permanently. Export a backup first.
Delete your data
Linked has no account and no servers, so your data exists only on your phone.
- Open the Security tab and tap Clear entire data.
- Confirm. All links, collections and tags are erased.
Uninstalling the app also deletes everything. Delete any backup files you exported as well. Read the privacy policy for details.
